Mr. Spittoon and I received this lovely award-winning Swan Valley wine as a wedding gift. Thank you Pinelli Estate! We cracked it the other night and were completely smitten with how this nearly 10 year old Chenin Blanc is tasting.

It's a golden yellow in the glass with definite aged aromas on the nose of honeydew melon, banana and a touch of caramel. After taking a sniff, the palate surprises you with it's lively, vibrant and refreshing qualities. The thing that came to mind when swirling this around my mouth was a lemon honey ice tea. It's a wine my palate won't be forgetting easily and is definitely a wine highlight of 2016 for me.
