Truly a great value at $30. This Amarone is at the end of its life and is starting to turn brown, but it still delivered lovely bitter Amarone flavor. Deep dark fruit and chocolate. — 2 years ago
My first Ripasso!!! Wow!!! Ruby colored with wood and cherry aromas. This is a big bold wine that is very smooth. It’s boldness reminds me of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Cherry, wood, and plenty of spice notes with a fairly long finish. Went well with our Leg of Lamb! — 4 years ago
I love an orange wine? — 6 years ago
A rush of ripe red berry fruits waft from the glass, as licorice, sweet spice, and rosy florals join the mix. Silky textures envelope the senses, finishing with saline minerals and youthful tannin. Wow this Emilia-Romagna Sangiovese is an unreal value. $17.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, May 2020) — 6 years ago
Much more cranberry on the palate than I remember on the last bottle of this vintage. — 7 years ago
This is probably my favorite wine ever. It was recommended to me at a little Italian restaurant in Prague. I bought 3 bottles to take home. I would have bought a case if I hadn't been on foot. — 8 years ago
Lovely orange wine. Not overwhelming in orange but nicely balanced orange and citrus flavor. — 7 months ago
Small production, 150 cases, aged 11 months in French oak, 35% new. Met winemaker David Rossi who makes small batches by buying fruit from top vineyards and using a shared winery for crafting his small batch wines. Deep Ruby with a full range of berry aromas with wafts of earthy notes. On the palate blackberry & ripe cherry with oak and subtle spice. Fine tannins, lingering ending with fruit and some dusty spice. Nice now but let’s see if it aged well. I’ll grab a bottle and put it aside. Check back! — 2 years ago

Very nice! Red cherry, plum, and dried fruit. Deep ruby. Acidity and Tannins are nicely balanced. Excellent spice note. Went great with our duck breast and lingonberry sauce. — 9 months ago
Langhe State of the Nation. Crushed dark cherry, chocolate, mint, lemon verbena, and saddle leather. Sour and tart with murky old eyes. — 3 years ago

Frog’s Leap. “Hilltop” Rossi Vineyard Cabernet blend. Nose of dirt, currants, anise, plums, just slightest hint of violets. Palate is plums, currants, herbs, a bit of cocoa, some tobacco, pepper, and subtle tannins. Will be interesting to see how this ages since it’s so enjoyable with an hour of air now. — 6 years ago
