This was more elegant and less flavorful than expected
Very light fruit and minimal oak
Paired with giant 12oz lobster tails. Happy Armenian Christmas!
Crazy thing happened with the pairing. This wine tasted like a fresh shucked raw oyster. Dead on after a bite of lobster, like eating an oyster chaser. Wild. — a month ago
For some reason this app insists that the 2018 is the 2013. I can’t seem to correct it. But I opened the 2018 on Nov of 2024.
Nice but not great. Lots of herbaceous scents on the nose plus a mild scent of leather. A wee bit of red fruit on the front. Medium tannic structure. Lots of lemony high notes kick in on the mid palate. hints of mint on the finish. This is a well-balanced wine, and there’s nothing objectionable about it. But it’s in no way memorable. — 3 months ago
Nice but not sure it was quite worth the $40. Gave it 5 hours of bottle open air and that helped, but it ideally needs several more years to really come into its own. There is very nice fruit, and good acid - but the tannins are a bit chunky and unresolved at this point. One to wait on for sure. — 8 days ago
Light, fruity, balanced. Acidity is moderate, tanins are low and unactive. Nice. Don't wait too much, but really nice as a better table wine accompanying meats, duck, pasta. — 3 hours ago
drinking perfectly now. enjoy! — 2 months ago

A 25 year old gem pulled by Joel Peterson himself. I was one of the lucky ones to snag a mixed case of his cellar selections from 1991-2013 for BD16. Still going strong with such incredibile fruit. Gonna share them of course but sneak a Coravin taste here and there … — 5 days ago
