Montagny, Côte Chalonnaise

Henri de Villamont

Montagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2017

A nice Chardonnay that we paired with a Saint Nectaire cheese. The wine is full bodied with notes of lemon zest, going very well this creamy French cheese that my brother brought back to share. @Delectable Wine this is the Savigny-Les-Beaune thanks! — 8 days ago

Beautiful wine from a beautiful domain that is on a steep trajectory. Philippe Pascal has achieved wonderful and exciting results at this domain. Stay tuned. More to come. — 13 days ago

Domaine Jean-Marc Boillot

Montagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2019

The nose on this wine was amazing… lemon zest mixed with peaches and cream. Taste was more lemon coupled with a rich mouthfeel and really nice acid. Had this with thanksgiving turkey and went very well. Curious to see how this evolves in a few years.

Les Clous Aimé Bourgogne Côte Chalonnaise Chardonnay 2017

2021/11. It feels like de Villaine white wines have become substantially deeper and more complex over the last 5 or so years, this being a prime example — 9 days ago

Domaine Gouffier

Clos de la Charmée Mercurey Pinot Noir 2017

Gouffier Mercurey La Charmée 2017: Medium-body. Medium-plus acidity. Fine tannins. A vibrant nose with bold, red fruit flavors as well as plum, earth, spice & oak. The finish was long & smooth. All in all, this was a very delicious & approachable Burgundy Pinot Noir wine. Lots of immediate brightness & freshness and as the evening progressed forward, this wine continued to evolve in aromas & flavors sip after sip. For me, this was a definite “buy again” wine. Satisfaction on all fronts! Great weekend to all! Cheers🍷 — 4 days ago

Beajolais Blanc Chardonnay 2020

Previous notes still apply. Very nice aromatic nose with little flowers, nice acid drive and some width and a sweeter, fruitier spot with a nice exotic fruit note. Finish with that fruity note. Enjoyed along with a raclette hence opening the season ✌🏻 — a month ago

La Fortune Côte Chalonnaise Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2016

2021/11. This bottle started off a bit more herbal and austere, perhaps suggesting that it might be closing - but with a bit of air over a few hours, the savory, sweet and sour red fruit blossomed again, if anything suggesting it’s on the brink of its second phase — 9 days ago
