Potential wedding wine — 2 years ago
Really nice nose. Very interesting on the pallet. Starts out with a lot of dark fruit and finishes with quite a bit of tannin. A little more than usual but not off putting it all. — 3 years ago
This we opened a few days ago the 2010 Château Calon. This is from Montagne, Saint-Emilion. The blend is 70% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Bouchet and 3% Malbec.
On the nose the is black cherry, black plum, blacberry, licorice, black currant, brambles, chocolate and smoke.
On the palate there is black cherry, blackberry, black currant, spice, black pepper, leather, cassis and earth.
This wine is full bodied with medium +acidity and medium + firm powdery tannins with a long dark fruit earyhy finish. I hope everyone's weekend was eventful full of fun with family and friends. Have a great week ahead and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 months ago

2012 Montague St Emilion - Bordeaux ammazingness. Smooth as silk, cassis, flowery undergrowth if that makes sense but that's what it smells like? A hint of wet stones on a rainy day. Perfect Friday BDX — 3 years ago
From Dec 2019 Ets Martin shipment, had 2016 on 4/30/2021. Red plum, maraschino cherry, battery smell, smoke, iodine. Low tannin. Muscular not plush. Finish moves quickly to a cedary flatness. — 3 years ago

Very nice Bordeaux wine from St Emilion. 80% Merlot, Rich ruby color with great taste of cherry and nice lingering taste in the palate. Did pair well with prime rib. At almost 8 years, very nice balance. Drank December 2013. — 5 months ago
