Roc Epine Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2016

This wine is in balance! Everything plays together so well. It’s a nice 10 year old wine, also the aged notes integrated so well with the vibrant red fruit coming from the Grenache. A little bit of Mouvedre and Syrah give it nice complexity. — a month ago

Bosquet des Papes

A La Gloire De Mon Grand-Père Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2022

Ruby in color with a reddish rim.

Nice nose of fresh red fruits.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, plums, light oak, chocolates, licorice, coffee, spices, tobacco leaf, light earth and herbs.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Grenache from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Elegant and nicely balanced.

The 2022 vintage was excellent, and it shows. Already drinking beautifully. Very approachable, complex and rich.

The high alcohol is already well integrated. Easy drinking right out of the bottle, and better with airtime.

Still young, and needs 5 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 to 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Very tasty by itself as a sipping wine or with food.

A blend of 98% Grenache with a touch of Cinsault and Clairette. Grapes from 70 year old vines were aged in large French oak barrels for 15 months. A small production of less than 8,000 bottles.

15.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$80.

Domaine Pierre Usseglio & Fils

Cuvée De Mon Aïeul Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2000

Used the Durand on the cork - soaked to the edge. Decanted for 2 hours.

This wine had some gaminess. Smooth. Fruit was a bit wild and overpowered by the savory flavors.

Paired well with the chicken skewers and onions. Needed complex flavors in the food to pair well.

Good but quite a bit below the Beaucastel

Roc d'Anglade

Vin de Pays du Gard Carignan Blend

Vibrant ruby with pure cherry, wild strawberry, and blackberry fruit. Subtle garrigue herbs, cinnamon spice, and a hint of licorice emerge on the nose and juicy mid-palate. Fine, velvety tannins, bright tangy acidity, and saline-mineral finish give tension and length—elegant Languedoc finesse. — 3 months ago

'Mon Plaisir' Chardonnay

Weeknight treat. Medium body, creme brulee on nose and some custardy finish but great acid. Just so many great things to love in this chardonnay. I still prefer Ma Belle Fille — 4 months ago
