Inkblot Lodi Petit Verdot 2020

Deep purple in color; black plums, blackberries, wood smoke, and violets (I think) on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like black cherries, cardamom, wet slate and potpourri with a long finish. I love this wine. — 13 days ago

Petite Petit Lodi Petite Sirah

I usually am not one to run out to the grocery store and buy wine. But tonight, the wife and I were feeling lazy and wanted a frozen pizza and wine. I’ve seen this bottle before, but this was the first time I bought it. Vanilla forward, light and bright. Really a good bottle for $20 at food lion!! I’d most definitely buy again. — 11 days ago

Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.
My guilty pleasure.

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2009

Deep purple in color with a reddish rim.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward, with a very pretty nose.

Showing black fruits, cedar, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates and coffee.

Full bodied and soft with nice complexity and balance.

This is a gorgeous 15 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley. Rich and elegant. Complex and nicely balanced. Fruit forward and interesting.

Good right out of the bottle and delicious by itself.

Robert Parker 91 points.

Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 years.

I've had many different vintages of this Cabernet and it is always delicious with age.

A blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Petit Verdot.

14.3% alcohol by volume.

93 points.

$200.

'Ma Belle-Fille' Chardonnay 2006

Should not have kept it this long - the pain of offsite storage but it’s still very nice. The nose is light/gone, buttery smooth with a light finish. Can’t recall how much acid this had early on in its life but it’s only there lightly now. Not dead but I’m drinking these asap. — 3 months ago
