Typical Rosé nose, slightly darker in color, more body than many Rosé- dry with a touch of sweetness, some strawberry, maybe peach and a hint of grapefruit. Some minerality and acidity. Pretty good! Took to the Arena’s in Staten Island. — 6 years ago

Very smooth. Lots of fruit on the nose and palate considering the age. Magnum bottle. Be gentle with the cork. It doesn't like peer pressure and crumbles at the mercy of the corkscrew. — 10 years ago

High QPR. Good fruit. A tad bitter on open / first act. But this went away once open for a while. — 10 years ago

Even though our host brought the 1999 Tempier, my wine of the night was this Lafarge. I had been waiting to taste this for months, finally got it opened. Mercy me it was pretty. — 9 years ago
Whoa. This is a big juicy, fruity magnificent wine!!! Fantesca is one of our favorites on the planet. This bottle, Mercy, is just divine. If you know Napa, then you know the big nose, long legs, party on your palate that this and only Napa wines can bring... — 9 years ago
That is drinking smooth styles right now. About to fire it up alongside some Green Egg roasted pizzas. Mercy. — 10 years ago

Vintage 2012 | If any bottle tries to fall out of the climate cabinet, I won’t show any mercy - even when it’s Merkelbach. The verdict is: drink it. — 10 months ago
