Strawberries and raspberries on the nose, surprisingly soft structure (although still a "big" wine) with sweetness, inky, powdery, ripe tannins. Earth tones emerge at the back of the palate. Already in the drinking window but no rush to consume these. 95+. Awesome wine! — a year ago
Довольно маслянистое и плотное для лета, но подойдет для суровой каталонской зимы в качестве альтернативы красному — 2 months ago
Really well balanced wine. Great tannin, acidity and texture. Lovely red fruit — 4 months ago
Made of 100% Garnatxa Blanca (Grenache Blanc) and from a great vintage. The Coma Alta is not as complex as it’s bigger brother Coma Blanca, but offer lots of nuances still, in terms of ripe white fruit, a bit of wood and vanilla, and a bit of spice. Great length! — 7 months ago
Lively and just the right amount of pepper. Paired quite nicely with the lamb chops. Less heavy and more ethereal. — 2 years ago
Just an incredible 19 year old bottle with plenty of life left but drinking perfect tonight. Inky and dark purple. Raspberries and cherries, but with lots of dark fruit, spices, caramel, and gamey scents that develop more deeply when stirred and sipped. Elegant balance of tannins and fruit. Medium+ body. 5 min or longer finish. Robust but not overwhelming. — 3 months ago
One of those unicorn wines. Just a unique wine made of blend of varietals. Mostly Cab but some Pinot in there too. 2003 gives it a brickish color. Gorgeous wine with lively fruit and good acidity; lingering on the palate. “Daumas Gassac apparently has a geological formation unique in the Languedoc: chalky, friable, poor in humus, the bits of earth ranging in size from mere grains of sand to little stones, a soil similar in aspect, similar in constitution, to that of the Côte d’Or and the Italian Friuli.” Excerpt from Adventures of The Wine Route. — 7 months ago
Salanques: Poured into a decanter several hours prior and returned to the bottle just before dinner. The 2007 “Salanques” pours, a deep garnet color with a near opaque, core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and slightly desiccated red and dark fruits, red cherries, blackberries, dried red flowers, well-oiled leather, rocky minerals, light baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (that is mostly integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Showing remarkable elegance; this is a delicious, gorgeous Priorat that is currently firing on all cylinders. A lovely pairing with paella a variety of traditional Spanish tapas. Drink now and over the next 10 years. — 10 months ago

A favorite for decades, I just love this wine. Perfumey and fragrant, with deep floral notes, turned earth, sappy dark berries, incense, spice. On the palate it’s less unctuous than the nose suggests, and more linear. A tad reserved initially, but then the deep concentration and length kick in. Very savory flavors. A vibrancy echoes on the finish. One of the best renditions I can remember. — a month ago
