Delicious taste and price. Another winner from Weimax — 9 months ago
Slightly deeper ruby garnet , narrower rim . Deeper and younger , touch of wood smoke then quite ripe black fruits , rounder with better definition on the nose than the 1994 . More degraded cassis and grafite noticeable than the wine before, tobacco , touch of seashell , marine influence comes though . On the palate the fruit fills out better than the 1994, quite dark and serious , grafite , tobacco and cedar , however the tannin is less rustic and better integrated . Nice balancing acidity. This has quite good length and is showing well now though could age a little longer. Probably is best drunk over the next few years — a year ago
Loved this pinot for our main course at single thread! Hotpot. Fruit forward. Kenlee had the chardonnay which was nice and Bordeaux style — 3 years ago
Salty and nutty, meyer lemon. Touch sour mandarine. What’s not to like. 13.31%. Sadly this cuvée is not made any more. 😩. And prices have gone up for this stellar Oregon Chard expert. In fact they exploded! Not surprising one of his Chards did get 100 points. It’s great to find these gems/wineries before they take off. His other more expensive Chards are like top shelf Burghs. — 4 months ago
Deep ruby color; dried herbs, plums and black cherries on the nose; high acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like sour cherries, raspberries, and wet slate with a long finish. It's a little bitter at the end, but a very interesting wine. Not bad. I think it will pair well with the Ruben I ordered. — a year ago
Fantastically crisp. Works well with the Caribbean spices at this excellent restaurant. The wine has notes of rhubarb and citrus, with aftertaste that lingers. Floral to the nose. — 2 years ago
The 2014 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru certainly has one of the more attractive bouquets with redcurrant and cranberry, a touch of tobacco and marine aromas (cockle sheds I used to play on in the Thames Estuary). The palate is well balanced, with a touch of curry leaf on the entry and more black than red fruit. The 2014 has a firm grip with a noticeable backbone, yet the finish has plenty of freshness. Drinking well now, but there are a few years left to enjoy. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

The 2009 Latour has an open and generous bouquet: a mixture of red and black fruit and touches of graphite and loam. This vintage displays a light marine/brine influence. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine bead of acidity, a firm grip and superb balance. This is very focused, with impressive salinity on the finish that lingers nicely. This is an extraordinarily beautiful Latour. Tasted blind from double magnum at a 20-year retrospective at the château. (Neal Martin, Vinous, February 2024)
