Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend

Love the smell of Bordeaux in the morning...smells like victory! Paired with Cheerios, yogurt, and a banana. Simply sublime!

'95 Bordeaux are showing well right now. Beautiful, clean, pure fruit here. Tannins just a tad drying.

Youthful and energetic. A truly great paulliac. Not even close to maturity.

Hard to believe that a 1995 is already 20 years old. Anyway this is drinking very well. A top 5th growth Pauillac to be sure.

Sexy. Served against 1995 Dominus. Much more elegant than the elegant Napa red...not surprising, but the exercise was fun.

Some fierce tannins still, good think there is still flesh on them bones as those tannins don't seem to be going anywhere.

Slightly deeper ruby garnet , narrower rim . Deeper and younger , touch of wood smoke then quite ripe black fruits , rounder with better definition on the nose than the 1994 . More degraded cassis and grafite noticeable than the wine before, tobacco , touch of seashell , marine influence comes though . On the palate the fruit fills out better than the 1994, quite dark and serious , grafite , tobacco and cedar , however the tannin is less rustic and better integrated . Nice balancing acidity. This has quite good length and is showing well now though could age a little longer. Probably is best drunk over the next few years

Cherry cola. A little thin but rating at pop and pour. Maybe it will gain some weight.

Fully mature if a bit weak on structure. Enjoyable!
