This wine really delivered for me. The beau wasn’t as enamored. Alpine spring in a bottle: apple blossom, honeysuckle, nectarine, golden apple, chamomile, Meyer lemon, fields of clover and sun-warmed pebbles/gravel. Bright, fresh but solidly built with a finish that goes on and on and on... — 6 years ago
High elevation Italian Schiava. Bright garnet/ruby color. Aromas of sour red fruit, freshly turned soil and roasted nuts. Flavors of sour cherry/raspberry, cranberry and pomegranate with additional notes of tobacco and minerals. Slight hint of oak on the medium length finish. Ripping acidity and light on tannins. 12.5% Alcohol. Light bodied but rather intense, juicy and persistent. Very “Pinot Noir-like.” Can handle a chill. — 4 months ago
Cherry aroma, sweet on its own, shifts into slightly sour notes with cedar and spice accents when paired with a spicy sausage and pasta dish. — 6 months ago
Manincor is such a great producer...have never had a bad wine from them. This perfects the art of subtle complexity. Goes from refrained tropical fruit to minerality and wet stones...always holding its reserve. Lovely wine and perfect for a summer evening. — 2 years ago
