Really nice light and matured field like rising. Green apples, mibnt, ligt tobacco notes I aroma. Green apples, green peaches, pinch of sweet green grapes at palate. Medium accidity. Fresh but has a character. — 8 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2021 “N” (Sans Soufre) is identical to the standard Morgon except it’s bottled without the addition of, you guessed it, sulfur. It pours a slightly dull ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with gorgeous notes of fresh and funky dark cherry, strawberry, raspberry, licorice, red flowers, some horse blanket, green herbs and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium with lovely minerality. In a year that is often maligned (not by me), this was absolutely gorgeous. You just kept wanting to go back to the glass and smell it. Drink now through 2036, probably. — 8 months ago
This is my last bottle of this remarkable single vineyard Syrah, the first bottle consumed about 6 years ago.
The nose opens seamlessly with ripe plum, blueberry compote, and cassis before evolving into savory waves of smoked meat, dark cocoa, dried violet, and aged soy. The palate is full and silky, with a refined sweetness and integrated spice driving a long, savory finish. Still powerful but now balanced and restrained. In peak form. — a year ago
Honey nectar where time has carved out concrete smoothed smokey cool aromas of grilled pineapple and canned apricot.
Sweet and weighs like a brick, thick with nuance to sift through. Yellow peach, burnt popcorn, green coriander, lychee last to say goodnight — a year ago
Crisp, interesting & oaky! Perfect! — 4 years ago
