Gorgeous. Top “GG” style dry from SV. Stunning. Wow. What a nose. Insane. Peach skin, cooling blue fruits, apricot, all mid season ripeness. Balanced and so pure and so fresh. Complex. Stunning mouthfeel. Insane purity. So long. Genius wine. Balanced structure and fruit forward. — 8 years ago

Although this bottle had a rather low fill and was clearly showing signs of oxidation because of it, the magical qualities of the '71 vintage came through in mid palette and a long, complex finish that reminded me of caramel and toasty creme bruleé. One of the middle Mosel's finest vineyard sites, the Domherr is the best part of the greater Goldtröpfchen. — 12 years ago

Stone fruit aromas, lemon, lots of lime, with a slate and smoke background, white flowers. Palate with super fresh acidity, good concentration. At least a 30 year wine. — 7 months ago
