Earthy and fruity red with a natty punch — 2 years ago
Opened in a family group in Catalunya Spain with no formal notes. Made by the redoubtable Rene Barbier where we having a tour at Clos Mogador this coming Saturday. One of those lovely luscious Mediterranean whites with a skinnsy bitterness with a low acid profile. A blend of Macabeu, Garnatxa Blanc and Cartoixa. Peachy notes in the profile. — 8 months ago
One of the oldest vineyards in Priorat, dating as far back as the 15th century. A blend of 55% Macabeu and 45% White Grenache, aged 4 months in French oak, pale lemon with beautiful aromas stone fruits, herbs and floral notes. On the palate flavors of ripe apple, apricot and citrus with notes of cedar and vanilla. Long finish, lively acidity, great mouthfeel, ending with fruit, mineral and vanilla spice. Very nice! — 2 years ago

Anima mundi Camí dels Xops 2019 M. Ancestral Macabeo/Xarel-lo. Pale lemon, clear despite the wine being unfiltered. Medium intensity aromas of brioche, lemon peel, and orange blossom, fully developed. Dry, Medium(-) fruit on the palate. High acidity, there's a hint of tannins maybe? Definite textural complexity with a delicate mousse (froths up but dissipates quickly), medium alcohol and medium (-) body. The flavors echo the aromas, with emphasis on the lemon peel, seconded by yeasty/brioche, with a long finish on a prominent note of saline minerality. This wine suitable for aging but ready to drink now. Extremely interesting, evolving, and delicious! — 3 years ago

The most intriguing white I’ve had all year.
Kind of reminds me of Simone Palette but with way more going on. The nose is utterly intoxicating. It is rich and voluminous but the streak of minerality keep it fresh AF. Also kind of reminds me of Domino Aguila Blanco. Just outstanding. I want more!!!!!!! — a month ago
