Refreshing! Tropical, boxwood, tight acid — 2 years ago
Loooove this one. Notes of salted caramel. Might have been the weed and hot tub talking though... — 3 years ago
Upper class Gamay, marked by aging in oak barrels. Deep and concentrated. Evocation of Burgundy in classical style close to Château des Jacques. The fruit is set back, and the charm of gamay is not fully expressed, trying to play in the course of Pinot-noir without having the vertical character, imprint of the terroir. The 5 years of guards brought unity to the whole and a beautiful general outfit.
— 4 years ago
Pop and pour, bc I was hoping that lightning might strike twice (Ron Hextall, anyone, anyone?). So close (geographically) to the charme aux prêtres, but so different...still very good. On the nose:.much darker, with more plum and a touch of black raspberry, but still the signature house spice. On the palate: blackberry, cinnamon, allspice, fantastic acidity and density...soft tannin on the spicy finish. — 5 years ago
Simple, light, but full of charm. Clear purple dress, beautiful shine. Nose typical of the cabernets-francs de Loire. Raspberry, geranium, violet, blackwood, green pepper (but not too much). The mouth is fresh and tense, with a beautiful mineral weft reminiscent of rifle stone, slate or chalk. Served at 15 degrees, it’s a nice treat.
— 5 years ago

Established in the village of Marsannay in the 1960's by Bernard Coillot, father of owner Christophe Coillot. Deep Ruby red color with aromas of berry fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of cherry and blackberry with notes of fig, mushroom and spice. Fine soft tannins, long finish ending with fruit, spice and earthy mineral character. Very Nice! — 3 months ago
— 2 years ago
Lovely, no bricking on the edge so it’s not really showing age. Nose is a bit hot still but very fitting the 09’s. It’s secondary for sure on the palate with fruit not overpowering but balanced in with the leather and cedar. Very good for the price point, it is in a good place now. — 3 years ago
Pretty Moulin-à-Vent in typical style of the appellation. Deep ruby color, rich but discreet multiple nose, with notes of raspberry, pepper, herbs (vetiver), undergrowth. Fine mouth. A wine with discreet charm and many subtle nuances that amateurs will appreciate. Great finesse. Can still age 5/10 years.
Grande finesse. Peut encore vieillir 5/10 ans. — 4 years ago
2019 vintage. Another great value from this Listrac estate. Dark red. Black fruit, less oaky compared to the 2018. Good concentration, a more extracted style compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Lilian Ladouys 2019 (Saint-Estephe) tasted alongside, but excellent value at 11(!) euros. — 5 years ago
@Delectable Wine this is Bruno Clair Marsannay "La Charme Aux Prêtres", which I didn't find in search.
Pop and pour. Could have waited til.next.year based on the NM tasting note, but would be missing out. On the nose: omg, I have been missing this purity: dense, sweet wild strawberry, soft plum, cinnamon spice, soft leafy notes. On the palate: fantastic acidity, strawberry, spice, soft plum. Attenuated tannin on the finish. Absolutely lovely. — 5 years ago
2022 vintage. The back label sends you to the website of Producta Vignobles, a huge coopérative négociant company, the owners seem to be Marie Guyonnaud et Cyril Frémy. 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Lead pencil and cassis. Medium-bodied, with a pronounced minerality, somewhat hiding the fruit. Good value Saint-Estèphe ( 13 euros in a supermarket ), if a little lean at this stage. Abv. 13,5%. Suffers from the comparison with the 2023 Lilian Ladouys tasted alongside. Better the next day. — 8 months ago
Balance, class, elegance and pure fruit and flavours, gorgeous but with the acidity just a slight touch backwards, still gorgeous and drinks like a charm. — 4 years ago
Very pretty racy Brouilly, full of charm. Soft and tense mouth, on black fruits, herbaceous notes and spices. Beautiful lively finish on very fine tannins. Superb ratio/price quality.
— 5 years ago
Early greedy syrah. Superbe mesmerising nose made of floral fragrances, violette flower forward, touch of pepper. A primeur wine full of charm.
Syrah primeur, gourmande. — 5 years ago

2017 vintage. Surprising length of finish that went on and on. Some initial richness up front before the usual, St. Estèphe tannic embrace. 4.23.26. — 2 months ago
