For the price, awesome. Nice fruit, mild tannins. — 5 years ago
The fruit for this wine was the second selection from the sorting table (third if you count the crows that are known to take their share from this vineyard). Pure black fruits, seeds and all. Fine tannin and decent acid. Turned out to be a wonderful pairing with our paella courtesy of the Hunger Block (Omaha). Definitely a quaffer but has enough of the right things in the right places to keep things interesting. — 6 years ago

Blend of Mencia, caiño and bastardo (aka merenzao or trousseau) from biodynamically farmed vineyards in Mandin (Monterrei, Galicia’s smallest and least known appellation). Whole-cluster fermentation with indigenous yeasts. Dark ruby color. Quite pleasant, slightly rustic nose with aromas of dark fruit, some herbal (eucalyptus?) and earthy notes. Fresh, quite dry on the palate, some cherry flavors, high acidity — 5 years ago
