Beautiful Dao red — meaty and earthy yet refined. It took some time to breathe but delicious with my Christmas Eve meal.
This winery also makes great Portuguese olive oil. — 3 months ago
Deep Ruby color with aromas of dark fruits, spice and toasty oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, blackberry and plum with spice, herbs, cacao, tobacco and toasty tones from 18 months of oak aging. Full ripe tannins you can bite into, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy toasty spice character. Nice! Will age! — 5 days ago

Baga normaal gesproken pas na 10jr te drinken. Deze gemaakt voor jong. Niepoort familie. Prachtige geparfumeerde geur. Doet denken aan Nebbiolo in de geur, smaak in line. — 2 months ago

Dark red purple. Inviting nose and medium full, fruit-forward (for a European) palate of blueberry-blackberry compote. Bright medium acidity and medium minus tannins that mostly assert back-palate. Dark and slightly bitter finish (Touriga Nacional showing). Fine example of Portuguese non-Porto red. Ready for hearty entrées like roasted beef or pork. Drink now through 2028. — 15 days ago
