Astringent when you open, develops into a decent wine with air. Thick unlike other Pinots. Delfina’s spaghetti pomodoro and meatball sugo matched well. Will buy again. #pinotparadise #Delfina — 6 years ago

Wow... This smells exactly like a Delfina margherita pizza.. No joke. Yeasty bubbly crust, olive oil, mozzarella and bright tomato sauce — 11 years ago
Elliott's birthday dinner at Delfina! I'll admit up front that I love the story of carmignano, and this biases me. Folks there have been adding Cabernet Sauvignon (they all it "uva Francesca"--the French grape) to Sangiovese for 100s of years, and it doesn't over power the Sangiovese. I found lots of flavors in this: sour cherry, red plum, figs, red raspberry, leather, toasted fennel seed with sweet Tuscan herbs, licorice, and loads of stony minerals. Especially on the palate there were bright and complex notes of spicy orange zest. If the finish isn't the longest most complex thing you've experienced, the aroma and flavor make up for it. Bright acidity and fine grained tannins supported everything as they should. I'm curious--this is hovering at peek (the tight finish) or about to blossom and develop for another decade or two. Only one way to find out... — 11 years ago
Single Vineyard McMinnville Pinot Noir. Light ruby color. Aromas and flavors of rose petals, red cherries, strawberries, tobacco, forest floor, wet slate, raspberry and mushrooms. Long and smooth finish with a slight amount of tannin. Light bodied and refreshing with just a bit of intensity. Interesting. — a year ago

Amazing floral aroma, dry and crisp white @delfina — 10 years ago
For lunch at Da Delfina in Carmignano, our server suggested the best wine made from grapes growing in the hills around us--literally in the same town. This is the freshest, lightest carmignano I've had--it was nice to have something that supported but also balanced the rich food we had for lunch. — 11 years ago
Great rec from our waiter at Delfina San Franciso. Paired great with quail and pasta — 11 years ago
Love Syrah from alentejo. @delfina restaurant — 4 years ago
Very solid! I’ve started to drink CDP’s in general a bit younger, 5-7 years from release, and have really enjoyed them more than ever at this stage. Tannins were smooth and integrated with a beautiful, rich, slightly dusty dark cherry and hints of spice and everything nice. While not a true classic, this wine was an extraordinarily perfect pairing with my Delfina pepperoni pizza! — 4 years ago

I was pleasantly surprised by this blend. Almost (almost) too pretty for my Delfina pizza pairing. — 10 years ago
Super good. Especially with pizzeria delfina. — 11 years ago
A great find at Delfina, this was a classic Nebbiolo with pure deep dark cherries and roses, but then it had this savory eucalyptus and potting soil with a mineral (from volcanic soils?) edge. Beautiful aromatics and a structure that's just starting to relax (the medium amount of tannins were present and felty but balanced by plenty of refreshing acidity) make me think this has entered its drinking window and may improve for 5-10 years. The character of the earth flavors here makes me wonder how many would guess Pinot blind. — 11 years ago
