Croix de Bois Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend
Very solid! I’ve started to drink CDP’s in general a bit younger, 5-7 years from release, and have really enjoyed them more than ever at this stage. Tannins were smooth and integrated with a beautiful, rich, slightly dusty dark cherry and hints of spice and everything nice. While not a true classic, this wine was an extraordinarily perfect pairing with my Delfina pepperoni pizza!

Apr 16th, 2022A dark opaque ruby core color with great concentration. This wine is still very young and only hints at its potential. The nose is filled with fresh ripe raspberry, cherry and blueberry. There is a kiss of earth showing now but I sense that will develop nicely with a little more cellaring. Peppercorn and wild herbs round out the bouquet. On the palate the wine has a lovely balance and freshness, the tannins are silky and integrated with a long finish. This is a very pretty CDP, elegant with a nice restrained power. Drink in 2020-2035
