Few bubbles in the glass. Bruised golden apple, golden pear, slightly reductive / sherry-like. Reminded me a lot of the Peter Lauer 1987 Riesling sekt, but with fewer bubbles. An interesting but not crowd-pleasing Champagne. @ Persona, Stockholm — 22 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed alongside Texas BBQ on the plane home. The 2005 “Hommage a Jacques Perrin” pours a deep purple with a ruby rim; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with mostly dark fruits: mixed brambles, black cherry, animale, star anise and black pepper, garrigue and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This continues to be ever so dense but paired admirably with the BBQ. Drink now through 2055. — 2 months ago

This is very nice wine.
Listening to The Strokes and wondering where rock n roll went. It's completely vanished. I mean new rock bands- they don't exist. The charts are dominated with this disgusting pop/rap/country mashup. Somebody please name a solid rock band (that the masses know about) that has formed in the last 5 years. — 2 months ago

Lots of cranberry, tang and snap, with a really good creamy mouthfeel. Elegant but not polite, carrying that classic Poulsard back-alley punk rock energy. Light on its feet, bright, savory and full of character. — 9 days ago
