Excellent Portuguese blend of Tinta Cão and Souzão grapes. Fruity with enjoyable acidity. — 6 years ago
Elegant wine. Violets, cherries, game meat. Chalky tannins. Not de-stemmed or oaked. Finished in concrete tanks. Simply a pure expression — 7 years ago

Classic J chard. Nice edge but still pretty light. Good for boneless pork chops. — 10 years ago
Opaque purple, fruity aroma, light tannins with dark fruit currents and blackberries and a hint of pepper. Fabulous! — 3 years ago

1990 Jaboulet Aine La Chapelle Hermitage Syrah. Post Thanksgiving dinner w J&L B and Ash/Sush at Tosc. We thought the bottle might have been off. No savory notes, very uni-dimensional, abrupt finish. — 7 years ago
Yummy, inky and some peat. — 7 years ago
This is an excellent example of honey, vanilla, toasted brioche, and very elegant body. Refined bubbles reminiscent of the Dom Ruinart.

Had this opened and decanting for 2 hours and it did not feel like enough time for this wine to emerge.
Dense and chewy. This wine seemed to hold back but brimming with flavor
