Nose is super lemony with lanolin, minerals and sea air. Smells like Chablis. Evocative and very expressive nose. Green apple as well. Maybe light pear. An iota though. Palate has great energy, acid and green apple fruit with a hint of juicy citrus and a very long finish. Succulent and invigorating wine. — 10 months ago
Fucking burgundy!!!! Pretty much that’s the note.
Nose has earth, precise cherries. Just ... perfect fucking burgundy.
Palate. Precise cherries. A hint of cherry licorice. So fresh and balanced. So grippy. Great texture. Almost a hint of grapefruit pith to round it out. So well made. Just lasers the palate with fresh cherry juice. ... fucking burgundy!
As it opens you get some of that elegant richness that you want. Finish is gorgeous cherries. Cherry licorice. Almost a hint of chocolate covered cherries. So fucking good.
This is exactly what you want. Not an iota more. Not an iota less.
Like I said ... fucking burgundy! So awesome and classic.
And yes this needs another 5 years. Sue me.
Bought from fass selections.

Wow. Just insane. Nose is brighter and redder than the Keuper but just as floral. It’s dripping with technicolor fruit. The florals are violets but they are a mixture of dried and fresh violets. There is a blackberry flower intensity here that is off the charts. Black cherry, but higher and more lifted than the Keuper. Palate is all cooling black fruits but it is as the nose suggests more high tones and it has this mineral freshness that just washes the palate that is incredible. This is thrilling wine. Like super thrilling. Big, ripe and juicy tannins and a very serious structure and unreal sapidity. Wow the tiny berry fruit intensity is remarkable. But this is more obviously structured than Keuper and seems more long lived and will take more time to get there. Nose has an aspect of unreal jelly donut. God’s jelly donut. Just glorious. Much younger now than Keuper but maybe more upside. Ok as this airs it gains an opulence in the mid palate and the fruit is more deep. This an iota better than the Keuper. A 9.8 now. And just loads of energy and freshness on the finish and insane minerality. — 6 months ago
Nice and fruity. — 5 years ago
Very nice fruit. A little weight from lees and oak aging, but nicely balanced. Monica's new favorite Chardonnay. — 8 years ago
21 is magic in the N Rhone. Glorious nose of dark berries, meat, olives, granite, minerals and more. Cornas perfume in full effect. Palate has so much energy and depth and is full of red fruits and an iota of blue fruits and has insane freshness and sweetness up on the finish. Juicy and so easy to drink with fine, sweet, ripe and suave tannins. What a great wine. — 6 months ago

Not what I call a typical Williamette Valley Pinot. Much darker and reminds me more of a Sonoma/RRV Pinot. More strawberries on the nose with a hint of dark chocolate on the back end. — 5 months ago
