Nice, but I detect this this is on it’s downward swing. Roasted pineapple combines with lychees. soft acidity and baking spices complete a nice presentation. probably better 2 years prior. — 2 months ago
Did a nice tasting at Hyde Vineyards in June this year. Color is a cross between ruby red and garnet. Nose - Brambly cherry, cloves, dried herbs and secondary notes of earth vanilla and slight raspberry. Taste - has a smooth and silky feel. Red cherry fruit, brambly herbs, and cedar are the initial notes followed by secondary notes of orange rind, pepper and strawberry that add to its medium plus finish. — 3 months ago
It’s a shame they don’t make wines like this any more — 2 months ago

Layered warm 19’ vintage @ladder 4 in Detroit — 20 days ago
This wine is inky dark and almost black. It’s a meal.
Needs food and a dense pairing. We had chili
Whomever said this needs airtime is dead on. I gassed this with oxygen and let it breathe for 2 hours and it still was just beginning to show its fruit at the tail end.
I would aerate and give a solid 3-4 hour decant next time.

Double decant and pour. A striking dark ruby red color. On the nose: brambly cherry, forest floor, raspberry, clove, dried herbs. Taste: smooth, creamy, rich, juicy wine with sweet cherry, cedar, orange rind, earth, and a peppery strawberry medium finish. YUM! — 3 months ago

Older and a bit past its peak but still delicious. Patz & Hall no longer sources from the Hudson vineyard so this was great to revisit. — 17 days ago
