Great Pinot. Paired with Christmas turkey. Velvety mouthfeel, ripe red fruit. — 6 months ago
Less floral than other vintages. Golden Straw — in a good way. Enjoy Hyde’s Viognier very much. — 9 months ago
Very delicious Pinot, but was expecting a little more complexity. Wonderful pairing with salmon. — 3 years ago
HQPR. 10 years strong but would say at peak or coming off. Enjoy. — 4 years ago
2022/2. This was the first bottle of this that I’ve had that seemed like it might be closing - if only a bit. — 4 years ago
Great tartness, rich apple and pear, smooth and creamy vanilla, fewer bubbles. Soooo good! — 5 years ago
A firm structure with dark fruit. Nothing overbearing just well put together. Easily another 5 to 10 yrs of life. — 5 months ago
Médium straw colour . This has some development on the nose with bruised apple , pear , blanched almonds , herbal touches and some chalky mineral character as well. On the palate , quite lean but fills out enough with chalky mineral notes , ripe apple , pear and lightly honied citrus and a lightly creamy mouthfeel , decent length finish with good balance and freshness . This is at end of peak now and won’t improve further , but is still showing well . Drink now. — 6 months ago

Secondary notes like black tea are becoming more pronounced, which I enjoy. It’s a different wine than when we first tried it soon after release at the winery. Both are really impressive. — 4 years ago
Aubert chards are always fabulous. Tasting lime, ginger, pear, and honey. Full-mouth feel with a lingering finish. A real treat. — 5 months ago
Pop and pour. A medium straw color. On the nose: lemon, pear, brioche, matchstick, green melon, caramel. Taste: fresh, balanced, chalky wine with nectarine, lemon peel, minerals, and a long crushed stone, citrus rind finish. YUM! Hog Island oysters were so good 2 days ago had to have em again with this wine. — 7 months ago

2022/8. As I’ve noted lately, it feels like the de Villaine whites have added another level in the last several years - deeper, more complex and more satisfying, without sacrificing any joyousness and without trying to be Meursault or anything like that. — 4 years ago
One of the best Bourgogne Rouge out there. Always brings me back to my Zuni days. — 6 years ago
