Williams Selyem

Ferrington Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Williams Selyem, 2017 Pinot, Color: deep purple and cherry red hues throughout. Nose: red cherry fruit and florals burst and subtle wet leave scent lingers. A restrained dark cherry tart taste sits nicely on the pallet; minerals and dry herbs lingering with orange peel; finishes with a nice med-long flavor of plumb vanilla giving it a creamy feel. Could definitely age more years so the tannins can integrate fully, the fruits sweeten more and the dry flavors soften. — 3 days ago

Savoy Vineyard Pinot Noir 2011

Explosive nose. Big boy Pinot with grit. Earthy and elegant with velvety tannins. Love the loads of black tea and berry's. I'd buy this all day. — 13 days ago

Mendocino Chardonnay 2016

New vintage for me, no new wood in this, according to their website. Yellow in color, excellent clarity. Apple notes in nose. Peach, apple and lemon flavors with hints of mineral and malolactic on the finish. Lingering malic-apple aftertaste, ever so slightly tart throughout. A superior Chardonnay, blessedly free of new oak, and all the more refreshing and delightful because of it. Well made, and almost convinced me that my avoidance of Chardonnays is all about their high price, but not, in this case, because of a lack of quality. Good stuff — 7 days ago

Two Creeks Vineyards Pinot Noir 2017

Just had to try another bottle!!Ruby with red fruit aromas and spicy herb floral notes, aged for 10 months in 40% new French oak. On the palate fresh black raspberry and cherry flavors with herb tea and earthy tones. Firm fine tannins, balanced acidity, nice mouthfeel, long finish ending with earthy mineral herb character. Nice! Paired well with a spicy seared sushi grade tuna with spicy peanut dressed sesame soy sauce. Wow!! — 9 days ago

Suisun Valley Grand Durif 2017

Suisun (su-soon) Valley, which lies to the Southeast of Caymus and a 40-minute drive. Dark Ruby with aromas of dark fruit and exotic spices on this Petite Sirah. On the palate flavors of blackberry and ripe blueberry with smoky oak, herb notes and dusty drying smooth tannins. Well balanced on a long finish ending with a mineral tang. A Wagner Winner! — 13 days ago

Stormin' Anderson Valley Pinot Noir 2014

Pure Anderson Valley at its best. Aromas is plums, raspberries and violets lead to a soft and velvety palate. Flavors black fruits mingle with soft spice and earth and a finish that lingers with warm acidity and lingering fruit. A beautiful Pinot with a perfect amount of age. — 7 days ago
