Truly the star of the entire day. I legit got tears in my eyes because this Riesling was so beautiful. Bruised yellow apple, singed lemon peel, ginger, wilting jasmine, thyme, petrol, and a tiny bit of peach are woven together by juicy acidity and a lush mouthfeel. Aromatic, mineral, complex, and balanced. I got a bottle to bring home, obviously. — 5 months ago
10/12/19 with Tau ET after pond work. Nice golden amber color nose of mature white flowers and fruits and medium body and finish. Actually was good with Thai food. — a month ago
Bright strawberry and rhubarb, red fruit and mineral mid palate, bright red fruit finish. — 3 months ago
On this Sunday night I have opened the 2017 Hermann J. Wiemer Cabernet Franc from Seneca Lake of the Finger Lakes in New York.
On the nose I get the red fruits of strawberry, raspberry sauce, cherry, roasted jalapeño, herbs, a vegetable note, smoaky oak and graphite.
On the palate there is cherry, raspberry, red currant, green bell pepper, mint, spice, herbs and minerality.
This wine is full bodied with medium + acidity and medium + sandy grippy tannins that leads into a long red fruit finish. I wish everyone a wonderful week ahead and a safe and prosperous one. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 4 months ago
