Blinded a dear buddy in the wine trade on this tonight, guesses all over the place, in a great spot, want to see this in 10+Y.
72H Update:
Nose has crushed blackberries, ripe plum, dried plum, dried tart cherries, moist mahogany and faint moist soil. Palate has tart plum, light molasses, blackberry compote, faint leather notes and fine tannins. Not as good as day one, but no slouch on day three. A wonderful experience, many years in the bottle to go ahead. — 4 months ago
Very nice! Lots of flavor, good blend, mix of gruner veltliner, riesling and Chardonnay. Definitely repeat depending on price — a month ago
Taste melon, apple, apricots. Very easy to drink — 4 months ago
Honestly I don’t remember the last time a wine made me shriek “F#iK YEAH” so... let’s lead with that this is sapid AF. One of those wines that is so layered but also you get them all at the same time so you are smacked down with I dunno...perfection? Really rich in ripeness that feels like a clove studded orange to me. Something that hits like lemonheads but maybe gold and mysterious incense...gold myth and frankincense? It’s hard to give precise taste metaphors when a wine is unapologetically itself. Why find tasting notes on a wine if the wine could be the taste itself? — 4 months ago
Petrol on the nose, honeysuckle flavors, mandarin orange finish. Wow! Paired with spaghetti and cockles. — 5 months ago
One of my favorite Finger Lakes Rieslings! Modest gold color. Subtle petrol on the nose. Medium plus depth and nice balance between sweetness and tartness. Could use some more zip but my guess is that it is just past prime drinking age. Awesome QPR. — 6 months ago
