An earthy, jammy pinot. Reminds me of the J Swan zin from the early 2000s. Hear it’s better decanted and best aged, but I would drink this again in a heartbeat. Had with spicy sausage penne in a pesto cream sauce. — 6 years ago
Damn this is good! What a pleasant surprise to have such a great bottle to celebrate a strong month end! Don’t remember what I paid but would buy again in a heartbeat — a year ago
Absolutely delicious, I would buy again in a heartbeat. — 4 years ago
Was almost sure that this one was done. However, after opening the cork and getting a whiff of this one, I became pretty excited. This one pours a maroon color into the glass. Nose of sweet plum and blackberry. Entry is sweet plums and dates. A small amount of tart underripe blackberry but this was not the primary note. Middle is rather full bodied, and was surprisingly complex. A little bit of pipe tobacco, a little bit of sweet milk chocolate. Finished with reasonable acidity, even a little bit of sweet toasted tannin. one of the handful of Texas reds that I would buy again in a heartbeat. — 6 years ago

Loved this one. Great for a rainy cold day. Paired with mujadara and Jerusalem mix chicken. Big wine with blackberry, dark cherry and blueberry. Oaky tannins keep it from being too sweet. Would buy this again in a heartbeat!! — 7 months ago
