Was almost sure that this one was done. However, after opening the cork and getting a whiff of this one, I became pretty excited. This one pours a maroon color into the glass. Nose of sweet plum and blackberry. Entry is sweet plums and dates. A small amount of tart underripe blackberry but this was not the primary note. Middle is rather full bodied, and was surprisingly complex. A little bit of pipe tobacco, a little bit of sweet milk chocolate. Finished with reasonable acidity, even a little bit of sweet toasted tannin. one of the handful of Texas reds that I would buy again in a heartbeat.
