At TCC. The 2012 is extremely well balanced. Fruit has mellowed to reveal the earth.

Fruit has mellowed since my last bottle with a nice minerality in its place.

Vine Cliff Winery 2012 napa valley cabernet sauvignon. Overall impression: enters palate thick dissipates with a slight tart finish. I better eat some chocolate to enjoy this one. It is an excellent cab dont take me wrong. Lots of perfume on the nose. Big dark fruit on the beginning tapering off to a bland slightly tart and very dry finish. No spice. No chocolate. No earth. No substance in the middle or finish. A very shallow wine. For the same price, Honig blows it away! I do like it though. High end Restaurants could sell this for $18 a glass. Just not worth the price when wines like Castello de Amorosa and Honig are out there at the same price

Good firm tannins with hints of black current, cherry, tobacco and leather. Wine is nice and drinking well but sadly this is a one trick pony. What you get after 45 minutes of sitting out is what you get wine never changed or evolved.

Best sub $60 cab I can recall. Massive all the way around. Dusty spiced raspberry nose, jamnastic giant red fruited palate, and a 30 second dry tannic finish. Even better with more time. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.
