Some reviews describe it as elegant and delicate! I assume that is if a sledgehammer is elegant. This is a wine that will earn praise from R Parker : have on the palate, some lingering bitterness and presents as a high alcohol even though “only” a 14.2 % per the label. Had it with red meat. A true steakhouse bombastic wine lacking in my view finesse — 17 days ago

Big cab Syrah blend. Feels excessively alcoholic in spite of a 13.5% on label. It hits you like a punch in the face but it is a one shot effect without an evolving taste. Maybe will get better a few hours after opening. Follow up a few hours after opening and the day after: not getting any less brutish — a year ago
