Terrific sparkling wine and probably the best non-French sparkling wine I have had. Beautiful Pinot Noir character, fine fruit, excellent balance, and real depth. The mousse could be a little finer, especially coming directly off a run of elite Champagne, but that is a very high-class problem. As the wine opened, the purity and precision became more apparent. Outstanding sparkling wine, even if the Swiss tax prevents it from quite reaching the level of the very best Champagnes — a month ago
Nose is hyper floral. Melon, wild mint, savory, MT on steroids yet lyrical. Stunning, sappy, deep, loads of dry extract, unreal density and juiciness. Such succulence, freshness, density and dry extract but with powerful fruit clarity. Love the bitter citrus pith on the finish. — a year ago
Great CA Chardonnay. Balanced, not overly oaked, not really buttery. Fresh and delicious lemon, yellow apple, underripe pear. It doesn’t have the electric acidity of the Adank Swiss Chardonnay I just tried, but it’s delicious in its own softer, more subtle way. Speaking of Swiss, I’m using a cup for tonight’s cheese fondue on a snowy night. — a year ago

Grand Cru B. Ridiculous wine. Sweet, structured, pure and elegant, with insane mid-palate texture, richness, length and juiciness. Huge concentration, a shock of red fruit that cascades across the palate, and a mineral, super-bright finish. Icing-on-cake texture. Wow. — 7 days ago
A mineral blizzard. Reductive, fresh and classy, smelling like a scene in nature. The finish blasts the palate with minerals. Utterly insane texture, purity and intensity, with juicy cranberry-like snap beneath the Chardonnay. One of the greatest Chardonnays I’ve tasted. — 7 days ago
So so dense. So tight. So coiled. So elegant. So concentrated. Structured. Checking in tomorrow. Nose is so floral, a day later. Very mineral and so expressive. Palate is enormously complex, chewy and dense. My goodness the density of this wine is just insane. It’s barely budged overnight. Fleshier, yes but also there still is more to come. Day 3 awaits. — a year ago
Heavenly, elegant nose, gooseberry, sage, so elegant and ethereal and like a pillow, just so expansive and like a cloud. 9.6 nose. Jeez. So elegant, round and juicy, super clean, palate is all mineral, so nimble and mineral and it’s delicate. Some nice herbals. Long and lingering finish. unreal flavor intensity. Unreal aromatic complexity. So so dank and light. Unreal sapidity. Palate staining. 60% old wood barrel fermented. — 2 years ago
Needs a 45 minute decant to open.
Nose: intense white flowers. A quiet density as it opens. Powdered minerals. A perfect perfume. As it opens more density and some richness. With more air this approaches perfection. Everything integrates and becomes gorgeous.
Palate: mineral. Perfect balance. Elegant acidity. Perfect lemon fruit. A cross between sweet and normal. Not sweet though.
30 minutes in, this has like this savory tang. This lovely umami. Like how preserve lemon rind has a depth to it that exceeds a lemon.
Long finish. — a year ago
Floral, roses, 100% whole bunch, red apple, sweet red cherries but darker, sensational aromas, more, spices, baking spices, some rare underarm. wood shavings, so high toned and intense and such fine, silky tannins and all red fruits and barely sweet. what complexity, and unreal red fruits, energy and tannins, so so good. big structure and density. Long and such an echoing finish. Just an iconic wine. Just a crazy good wine. Earthy sweetness and sweetening up but it’s so not sweet just so on the edge. It’s amazing how talented Patrick is. — 2 years ago

Grand Cru A. Ridiculous. My God, the concentration. So red-fruited, elegant and complex, with hauntingly complete aromas, gorgeous lift and depth, insane inner-mouth aromatics and outrageous fruit purity. The depth and texture are beyond the scale. Beyond. — 7 days ago
