Huge nose of citrus, pineapple, guava and more. Smells like a Riesling Pina Colada. Pink grapefruit and very piquant and precise aromas. Palate is so 21. Huge angles and acid and lean but ripe fruit. Unreal fruit clarity and freshness. Great acidity and a long minerals and citrus finish. — 2 months ago
Classic, but looking for more power out of a GG. — 17 days ago
Just a terrific wine and site. Enormously complex nose of crushed, dried, candied lemons and just a huge waft of such precise and clean minerality. Wet soil. Wet rocks. Lemon of the gods. Palate is just stunning. So elegant and mineral like nothing else. Sweet desiccated candied lemons on the palate all wrapped in silk. Terrific purity and intensity and such lovely powdered minerals in the finish and then a blast of the unique role and swee lemon character. It finishes, rocky, savory and mineral. So long. Epic structure and length. A masterpiece that will only get better with air. Unreal mouthfeel and texture. Just stunning. On days 2 and 3 this went from strength to strength. Stunning balance, purity and mouthfeel and astonishing length. Maybe a 9.9. — 3 months ago
Pinotman /// Andreas
Richer and bigger than a Mosel Riesling. But more fine cut than a Pfalz Riesling. This village is across from Straßburg about 30 min in Germany. 13%. Grown on Granite. The only village - Durbach - in Baden that is focused exclusively on Riesling. On the slopes of the black Forest - essentially Black Forest Riesling! A top 10 German Riesling. And this is Andreas Laible’ top vineyard. Next time i will share flavor profile notes. Otherwise look at Lyles! — 9 days ago
