The 2018 Brut Imperial is a Corpinnat blend of 56% Xarel·lo, 30% Macabeo, 10% Parellada and 4% Chardonnay. Produced using the traditional method, it spent 60 months on the lees. The bouquet features aromas of lime and lemon pie, complemented by a delicate array of fine herbs. Dry and creamy on the palate, the ethereal flow is enlivened by calibrated acidity. Refreshing and joyful, this sparkling wine is a delight. (Joaquín Hidalgo, Vinous, September 2024)

Toasty with lots of minerality and just a hint if lemon, clean and crisp, precise. Good value 👍 — 3 years ago

What an amazing blend! Imagine your typical Gewürztraminer made subtle by its mixture with traditional Catalan varietals. I’ve found that certain meals—carbonara, some east Asian dishes, and blended soups—need a white wine in a tall, skinny bottle that doesn’t suck. This is it. — 5 months ago

This comes across very much like a summer Mediterranean banger, which I dig. Light salmon pink juice that wafts upward with a soft citrus nose, backed by light and refreshing acidity. Good grapefruit and light strawberry. Great appetizer wine. — 3 years ago

The Grand Cru of Cava? Corpinnat (Heart of Penedes) is a special designation by a group of estates (currently 11) who broke tie with the Cava D.O. This one was disgorged in 12/2023.
Aromatic nose of green apple, peach, chalk, light brioche, and hint of white floral. Vibrant, round, and precise. Very impressive, particularly when considering this is a brut nature.

Vintage is 2018. Refreshing sparkler with apple and mineral notes on the nose that continue onto the palette. Overall just really nice and refreshing. Would be nice if it were a bit more complex, but still some nice yeasty notes and a slight hint of spice in the background, with the yeast veering more into the savory side rather than nutty/brioche flavors. Finish is pleasant but simple with the yeastiness dominating. Nice wine to come home to and relax after a long day at work. — 14 days ago
