A touch barnyard on the nose,
Heavier bodied with some great classic SA characteristics, green pepper, garden stalk, cocoa. Bitter acidity, tiny tannins. I love everything about this wine, except the wax encapsulation. I find this closure method rather short sighted, as no sommelier in the world wants to struggle with a wax dipped cork closure during service. Certainly no beverage manager would allow this on the list. — 5 years ago
Another great Ontario craft beer; light but very nice — 8 years ago
This is the 2015 bourbon barrel aged old ale. One of THE MOST impressive beers I have ever had. It's like they took the barrel char from the inside and made it an impressive adult beverage. Vanilla? Check! — 10 years ago

Fascinating beverage. Very sour. I was worried that after 2 years in the bottle it may be sweet, but not the case. Definite Manhattan flavors. Hint of citrus. With a ton of sour cherry and Brett. It was enjoyable but not as good as the “cocktail” beers I’ve had from pipeworks in Chicago. — 6 years ago

Great Chinese traditional dinner wine — 11 years ago
Mellow and smooth we take it. I feel the need for food with this beverage and fortunately some sauerkraut sandwiches and hand rolls did ok for simple finger foods...but I feel like some more meaty food is needed here to flesh out the better nuances available in this drink, and some rice, of course. Preparedness is key, be forewarned. Greatness abounds and I was not prepared to handle this beautiful woman the way she wanted. — 11 years ago
