From the beginning you can smell the chai. It's interesting tasting it in the actual beer. There is a distinct bite to it that's different from the hoppy bite of an ipa. It's tastes like Christmas in the same way that pumpkin beer tastes like fall. Wasn't expecting how strong the chai would be, but over all not a bad beer. Not a spring beer tho.
