Girolamo Luxardo

Girolamo Russo

Nerina Etna Bianco Carricante Blend 2021

It’s been a while delectable, but I am still here 😂 and determined to get back to recording stuff here as it really is a great resource! And this wine is a great place to start.. It’s totally over delivering: lemon & rocks. Zippy acidity even with some age.! Great with cheese, but really looking forward to it with triggerfish & a nice spring salad 💫💫💫 — 12 days ago

San Lorenzo Etna Bianco 2021

Peachy, mineral, a bit of seaspray. Fairly complete wine. It’s really nice, but holy crap $80 retail for this is a big stretch. — a month ago

Castello di Bossi

Girolamo Toscana IGT Merlot

2016 vintage.
100 % Merlot from Tuscany.
Rich, deep garnet colour.
Violets, ripe cassis, milk chocolate, a bit smokey and black cherry on the nose.
Blackberry, dark plums, licorice and wet earth with chewy but silky tannins. Tuscan Merlot is very underrated in the wine world.

Produttori del Barbaresco

Barbaresco Nebbiolo 2015

Popped and poured; consumed over a three hour period. No formal notes. The 2015 Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco pours a deeper garnet color with a translucent core. Medium+ viscosity with no staining of the tears. No signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is currently bursting with red and dark fruits: blackberries, Luxardo cherry, pomegranate, green herbs, red flowers, green herbs, and tar. On the palate, the wine is bone dry with high tannin and medium+ acid. The notes on the nose are confirmed. The finish is long and savory. Really compelling stuff in the context of the night. I think the 2015’s are drinking so well right now. Unfortunately, this is my last bottle of the “classico” but I’ll be on the hunt for more if I can score at a good price. Drink now if you’re going to allow for some evolution in the glass or enjoy through 2035. — 10 months ago

I find with 15 when they are good they are amazing but i’ve also found many to be hot, alcoholic, unbalanced and weird intense tannins then they are bad. but PDB never missed.

@Lyle Fass agree 💯. 2015 is one of my least favorite vintages in Piemonte in the last 15+ years. That being said, some were capable of outstanding wines
