Popped and poured; consumed over three hours. On the outset, this was bursting with raspberries on the nose. After about an hour, this gained some weight and the fruit shifted to crushed blackberries, pomegranate, and tar. On the palate, it was much the same with good acid and a nice salinity on the finish...which was really long BTW. This is a really good showing and I’ll likely buy more.

Hmmm. I have to admit I liked the 2014 much better. This seemed a little on the light/thin side to me. It was better on day 2 with bacon pizza. SM

unexpectedly bright- in the best way possible. as it opens tar and macerated black berries come thru. I haven't had in a few years and I still enjoy this. Great red for fatty fish. Upped my rating on day 2. delicious

Very good! Definitely bigger in style than some I’ve had from them. Needed an hour or so of air. Dark red fruits, some herbs, licorice, light tobacco, and just a hint of floral. Would love to try in 10 years.

Tough to find better cost performance! Outperforms it’s range year in and year out. Texture, flavor, length... it’s all there.

For some reason an even better showing of this bottle than last time. Excellent classic aromatics, deep dark fruit and earth, smooth tannins, and very refreshing acidity on the finish. Always an excellent value.

Solid, as always. Needed about an hour decant.
