Giorgio Pelissero

Piani Barbera d'Alba 2022

This is very elegant & harmonious.
Dark sour cherry with some crushed stone and a pinch of orange peel & herbs. Fresh. Juicy.
On the palate this is very smooth, juicy, with great flow and beautiful balance. The 14.5% alc perfectly integrated.
Nice depth & length, too.

Certainly a great value. Very curious as to how this will open up later this afternoon and then tomorrow. — 3 months ago

Riserva St. Giorgio Chianti Classico Sangiovese Blend 2017

A black cherry punch to start. A touch of vanilla. It's a dark wine for such an even tannin profile. The vanilla lingers. Light acidity. Had it with pasta/marinara. But a nice wine for Italian dishes. — 5 months ago

Langhe Nebbiolo 2020

Very nice, dense, rich in flavour barbaresco. Getting better after good breath. Balanced tanins, just a little bit to acidity side. — 4 days ago

Superiore Barbera d'Alba

Well balanced acid and tannins. Dry black fruit notes. Paired very well with our steaks. — 2 months ago

Crisp, clean, tight bubbles in this lovely Spumante, bone dry, medium-bodied, medium-long finish, very good!! — 5 months ago

Best year for Brunello. Let it age for another 5 years. But it was great. — 22 days ago

Le Nature Langhe Favorita 2022

It also has a bit of chardonnay and riesling in various percentages depending on the vintage.
Favorita vines are pretty old, they were planted in 1980. It is a clone of vermentino apparently that has established itself in Piemonte.
The wine is dry, personality, freshness and it is easy drinking.
The price is a bonus.
Fairly long too
