Certainly a great value. Very curious as to how this will open up later this afternoon and then tomorrow. — 12 days ago
A black cherry punch to start. A touch of vanilla. It's a dark wine for such an even tannin profile. The vanilla lingers. Light acidity. Had it with pasta/marinara. But a nice wine for Italian dishes. — 3 months ago
At Stefano’s: The wine was well aged. The tannins were silky with notes of dried red fruit, leather, baking spices, and vanilla. — 4 months ago
Very good for the price. — a month ago
Very smooth, well balanced Tuscan red. Pairs well with pasta and any red meat. Drank in November 2024. — 2 months ago
It also has a bit of chardonnay and riesling in various percentages depending on the vintage.
Favorita vines are pretty old, they were planted in 1980. It is a clone of vermentino apparently that has established itself in Piemonte.
The wine is dry, personality, freshness and it is easy drinking.
The price is a bonus.
