This is what natural wine is supposed to taste like. Insanely young, almost has a barrel-sample level of fruit. On the nose, lilacs, blackberries. In the mouth, bright fresh jasmine and lilac, blackberry juice, acid. Medium tannins, medium-long finish. Excellent, pure example of Syrah and shows what California Syrah can be - ie St Joseph/hermitage with a twist. — 5 years ago
2024/1/1. Tangy, sweet and sour with citrus, earth, and a little acetic funk — 2 years ago
We have more bottles and expect this wine will benefit from more time in the bottle. All the same, this big-bodied, tannin forward barbera is a bold delight.
Also a *spectacular* pairing with charred eggplant. — 4 years ago

On a collllddd night this was the perfect partner for linguine ala carbonara.
Big, 15° Also big dark cherries, a medicinal quality with big tar on the nose. Bright acids, grippy too, not overtly. A joy to drink. This one just keeps better. — 4 years ago
