2024 spring / summer. Yellow gold color. Round, fleshy, lots of sweet citrus and some stone fruit, a touch of residual sugar and no oak - this is my first time with Thevenet-Quintaine but understand this is the typical style. An interesting change of pace — 3 months ago
I’ve been drinking this slowly over a week and a half. At this point it tastes like a fortified or mulled wine. It’s deep, inky like ox blood, burnt copper color around the rim. The smell is mulled red fruit, raspberry, strawberry, dry earth, purple flowers, sweet lavender. Very delicate tannins remain with an acidity that tickles the edges of the tongue and fades quickly. What you’re left with is something that resembles a young fortified wine with beautiful red fruit, earth, a floral element that lingers, and a slight hint of mushroom. It’s quite lovely and unexpected. — 5 months ago
Wow! What a fabulous bottling of Pinot blanc. Usually it’s crisp and dry, with great acidity. But this - 2019 vintage - has honeysuckle, green fruit, unripe peach alongside the usual Pinot blanc characteristics. This is delicious! — 2 years ago

On the Lawn at Tanglewood this afternoon with the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra (the overly talented youth!). Our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading IVES (Three Places in New England, Orchestral Set No. 1), BEETHOVEN (Piano Concerto No. 3 in C Minor, Opus 37) and STRAUSS (Also sprach Zarathustra, Opus 30...aka 2001: A Space Odyssey, Stanley Kubrick❤️).

Deep Ruby color with aromas of red and black fruits with notes of floral, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, raspberry and figs with licorice and herb spice. Fine tannins, nice texture, long finish ending with fruit and mineral spice character. Nice! — a year ago
eye: persistent but not aggressive bubbles, relatively gold in hue, transparent
nose: enticing aroma of pear compote sweetened with honey and very lightly accented with vanilla and citrus
palate: nectarines in cream, very fine bubbles, balancing acidity, no tartness, simple syrup w/ honey and slight mineral accents on the finish — 2 years ago

A blend of 40% Poulsard, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Trousseau, the 2022 Rouge Arbois Tradition displays bright red fruits alongside spicy elements. Subtle herbaceous accents add complexity, attributable to the use of approximately 20% stems from the Pinot Noir and Trousseau during fermentation. Concentrated and savory, the 2022 is neatly framed by ripe tannins and can be enjoyed over the next four years. (Nicolas Greinacher, Vinous, August 2024)
