Sperss Barolo Nebbiolo 2020

Delectable Wine
9.6

The 2020 Barolo Sperss is a dark, brooding wine. Black fruit, leather, incense, game, gravel and scorched earth convey the essence of Serralunga's seriousness. A touch of small oak torrefaction character actually works well in this wine. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2024)

Great example of a super approachable ER. This is the wine that I typically introduce people to who haven’t yet had an ER. — 3 months ago

Sito Moresco Langhe Nebbiolo Blend 2017

Had a dinner with my close friend. This is a gift from a restaurant to honor my loyalty to them. I tried this wine for other vintage and i'll review it once again for 2017.

On nose its straight Roses parfume, wild respberries, tar, and licorice

On palate, i sense a complex Spices, high acidity, violets, cherries, medium bodied with sharp intentisity on mid palate. This is still my favourite to taste barolo for some cheese pairing. Cheers everyone!

Thanks for the feedback. I bought the model 6. So far have not used it for long term preservation. More to be able to enjoy a couple wines over the course of a week. Even then I notice changes an reds. And when I reach the bottom third of a bottle I will just pull the cork.

I also find the cartridges stupid expensive, though. If only I could rig my own argon tank!

I’ve seen recommendations to buy a thinner needle for the times you might want to store a sampled bottle for a long time. But I do tend to see it as good for short term preservation, not for periods of months.
