As close to perfection as can be..,, smooth, silken, 2-minute finish. Nose of ripe, preserved, wrinkled apples…complete, complex, hints of baking spices, lighter than anticipated, but packing that 80 proof wallop. I anticipate most of bottle will grace a cool winter evening in front of the fire for 2 couples! — 10 months ago
Pricey but worth it. Paid $60 for 2018. Bold and smooth. Great choice to have with a steak. — 4 months ago
Nice tasty somewhat fruit forward blend. Good balance, smooth tannins. Would buy another — 8 months ago

Tasting the 2020 Soul of a Lion at Daou in Paso. And coincidentally, we were there on their last weekend as an independent winemaker. A nice goodbye before the corporates take over. Dark and concentrated. Beautiful cab. — 6 months ago
