Deep garnet with terracotta . Quite rich concentrated nose , slightly roasted spicy , oaky nose, cassis , dark plum , quite rich and dense. Slightly sweet on the palate , but with red plum , spiced orange rind , cassis , cacao . A bit alcoholic on the palate too. Quite rounded , but gritty tannins and just balanced acidity . Slightly Foursquare on the finish , with spiced cherry , cacao . Drink now and over the next 5 years or so . — a year ago
Medium ruby , quite wide garnet , terracotta rim . Quite spiced tobacco , red focused sous bois , warm spice , coffee and cacao , a little foursquare , rustic perhaps . On the palate better , quite juicy and rounded , spiced red plum , dark cherry , dry spice . This becomes more saline with time in the glass, balanced acidity and some slightly gritty tannins. This is probably in the middle of its drinking window , and will remain here over the next 5-10 years perhaps. Within the context of Haut Brion , this perhaps is just a little below par . — 2 years ago

Gorgeous, flinty nose with hint of barnyard. Grippy tannins. Hint of coffee and soy sauce after 3 hours. Almost Valentini Cerasuolo-ish. Imperial Treasure Teochew Ion with Andrew Dutton.
Tasted blind at the Burgundy 2011 horizontal tasting in Beaune. There I was suggesting that Maume's Mazis-Chambertin 2011 was clearly not the pick from the domaine this vintage and lo and behold, it trumps all in a blind tasting. It has quite an earthy note on the nose with mint-tinged red fruit and black plum unfurling at its own leisurely pace in the glass. Later, this is joined by fennel and rosemary scents, creating an intriguing aromatics profile. The palate is medium-bodied, a touch foursquare on the entry, but with good substance, the texture grainy and quite peppery toward the finish. There is a lot going on in this grand cru and it will be fascinating to see how it develops and if it maintains this stellar quality. RP95, 2011, issued Nov 2014

2021 autumn. Ample cherry and earth, but quite primary and a bit foursquare at this stage. I’d be interested to try it again in 5 or 10 years. — 5 years ago
1st wine. Medium garnet with quite thin , garnet rim . Some herbal touches , with earthy terracotta note , touches of dry spices, grafite . On the palate this has good freshness and of tobacco and earthy cassis , quite grippy, dry tannin. A bit foursquare , but quite good length and balance . This probably needs a bit more time , 5 -8 years and will last well a further decade . Had this down as the Haut Brion. — 3 months ago
Honey-colored elixir yields unctious leggings. Apples, peaches, pears and pinecones, honey bread with lemon zest, oaken notes and vanilla. Pointedly hot open leads to red chili, jalepeño, burnt brown sugar, vanilla bean, sharp tobacco, molasses and crystalline sugar baked to a crisp.

Pretty deep ruby , quite narrow still ruby /garnet rim . Quite masculine , slightly high toned , grafite , cassis nose , blackberry, tobacco . Cool blackcurrant , mineral , quite strict acidity and gritty tannins. Good length , quite foursquare , grafite finish . From now , though will improve over the next 5-10 and hold possibly a further 5-10 — 3 years ago
Medium ruby core, garnet rim . More leafy and crunchy cassis, slightly foursquare , cooler slightly mint touches . Crunchy dark fruits on the palate , more tobacco , cedar , grafite notes , fills out on the palate pretty well. Good refreshing acidity , moderate quite fine tannins, slight green notes on the ok length . Good to drink now and probably won’t improve very much , now and over the next 10 years. — 3 years ago
2022 fall. I hadn’t opened an older Dauvissat in a long time. 2006 Burgundies still feel a bit foursquare (for both whites and reds). There was a touch of honeyed development on the nose but this still tasted precisely like Dauvissat Forest...I wonder how it will continue to evolve. — 4 years ago
An inadvertently aged bottle. Salmon pink, excellent clarity. Aromas of flowers, black pepper. Cherry and citrus peel flavors, fruity, blessedly dry, good acidity. Drink by itself or with food; it’s held up well.
The city hall across the street is apparently closed, so I’m sheltering in place with the men and women in blue, in terms of my location Foursquare-wise. Everything’s closed here on a Friday evening, no food delivery, no food pickup once the burger drive-in here closes... we socially distance in earnest in Seattle. — 6 years ago
It says Nadia Curto on the bottle. Not sure why @Delectable Wine calls her Marco? Does anyone else think technology is at its peak overvalued point? Or was that last year? Why can’t foursquare find the restaurant where I had this in Milan last night? I’m still in northern Italy. — a year ago

Absolutely delicious 🇦🇹
Foursquare still does not have any other Friendswood or Baybrook locations listed as options… — 3 years ago
Pretty closed nose , a little bit funky, touch of sous bois . On the palate better , with touches of sous bois , cassis, good roundness , then a bit foursquare and dry on the finish, ok acidity , slightly bitter tannins . Not the best bottle of this . From past experience benefits from time in the glass , at peak , drink from now over the next 5-8 years . — 3 years ago
Terralsole hit above its weight, 1 of 3 bottles with some funk on the nose but otherwise silky bing cherry and dark chocolate, totally resolved, decidedly yummy and ready. [pic credit to CellarTracker, rating for 2 of 3 btls] Also at Doma Miami but Foursquare sucks. — 3 years ago
2022/5/18 with weisswurst, Japanese potato salad, etc. The nose has lemon rind and a touch of butter and stone, with nice acidity and savor on the palate. There’s good richness. Definitely a country Macon and a foursquare, with a butter wrist depending on what you’re eating, but a good mouthful. — 4 years ago
A big old beast of a Bajan Rum. Drop of water is suggested to tame it. Big rubbery and caramel nose, acetone obviously as the ABV is off the chart. Molasses lingers on the palette with hits of golden syrup and oak. It’s fucking good :) — 5 years ago

Still quite youthful and a bit foursquare. — 2 months ago
