This was a nice pour out of 9L served up by their Winemaker, Trevor Durling. He and his team are a great group of people.
Really excellent evolution. Classic Private Reserve George Latour style. Fine, dark tarry tannins, dark cassis, wet clay, sandalwood, used tobacco, light herbaceous notes, understated lead pencil, some baking spices, dark spice, withering dark & red flowers, excellent round acidity, balance for days, soft structure & tension and an elegant, round, plush, velvety finish that close to two-minutes. — 25 days ago

4/2024. Decant and enjoy a nice Syrah. — 21 days ago
Everything a good Pinot Noir should be. There are subtle fruit notes but still a medium body wine that hold up well. Note the alcohol content is 13%, which for a Cal wine seems low. Kudos to the winemaker for making such an impressive wine without bumping up the alcohol content. FYI, the 2021 was a Costco close out in the San Diego area. — a month ago
Clean & crisp. Varietally correct. $10.80 WG — 6 months ago
Not the best showing for this wine. The 14.4% was really dominant tonight — 2 days ago
Excellent masculine Pinot Noir that reminds me of a Gevrey-Chambertin. And it is reasonably priced. A great value at $31. This is a Pinot Noir for steak or lamb, not pizza, but I drank it with pizza and still enjoyed it. — 3 months ago
savory, complex, bright and layered. just gorgeous. — 8 months ago

2019 vintage. Decanted. Great nose. Medium body. Much more powerful than previous vintages. Zippy and almost aggressive vs lighter and passive. Not my fave AVA as I've gotta be in the mood for the ethereal, ephemeral and fleeting trifecta this AVA hard-core sponsors. Yet...something about the region...encapsulates the thrill of the pinot chase better than most. 4.20.24. — 11 days ago
