Les Fleurs du Lac

White Bordeaux Blend 2021

Another delicious rendition of the “Chateau Lagrange Blanc.” Beautiful fragrance seemingly melds a little herbal, gooseberryish SB with characteristic lanolin and orchard fruit Semillon notes (I have no idea what the blend is here.) Deep, lovely, soft minerality too. Impeccable balance in the mouth. Nice but gentle acids keep the deep, long, dry palate fresh. Such a great value too. — 7 months ago

@Tom Casagrande, the 2021 was apparently 80% Sauvignon Blanc, 20% Sauvignon Gris — yet the Lagrange webpage discusses picking the “Semillon” — so, is Sauvignon Gris the same as Semillon in Bordeaux?? I don’t know.

I guess they didn’t end up putting the Semillon in the blend. Sauvignon Gris is a different grape. I’ve had some Sauvignon Gris from the Loire. Nice grape!
