Fattoria Poggio Di Sotto

Fattoria Poggio di Sotto

Rosso di Montalcino Sangiovese 2011

The Poggio di Sotto Rosso di Montalcino is a superb showing in 2011, offering seductive aromas of blackberries, ripe plum, dried tobacco, leather, sweet spices, floral and hints of white truffle which build in the glass. This stunning Rosso continues to dazzle with its wonderful balance and finesse as it makes a seamless transition onto the long, silky finish. There should be no issues cellaring this for a decade, however this already has so much to offer and is extremely open and accessible. The grapes selection for the Rosso are the exact same as for the Brunello, the only difference in the two are the vinification and aging process. This is a world-class Rosso and should not be missed. — 24 days ago

Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese 2001

Amazing wine. Great expression of Brunello. Amazing flavors and aromas. Lots of complexity. Still very fresh, most certainly many great years left on this wine — a day ago

Podere Poggio Scalette

Il Carbonaione Alta Valle della Greve IGT Sangiovese 2016

Color of inky purple, with a bit of dark ruby. Nose is saturated, oak, dried fruits, vanilla, cherry, spice, crayon, and repeated fragrance. Taste of some solid tannins, fresh grapes, raspberry, some zesty flavors, sweet vanilla, fresh berries, and a bit mineral. Tasty and fruity. Aftertaste of some more fruity note with zest. Lots of flavors. Well done. — 4 days ago

Poggio Maestrino

Spiaggiole Morellino di Scansano Sangiovese 2018

Nose of sweet, red cherry, blackberry, and flowers, with a hint of leather and smoke. Medium tannins, smooth mouthfeel, with a nice light and smoky texture. Not super complex, but a delicate and light wine to sit back and enjoy. — 5 days ago

Poggio Nibbiale

Morellino di Scansano Sangiovese

Balanced, bright, and delicious! Annitalian blend of Malbec, Sangiovese, and Cabernet that's brilliant. This wine is absolutely delightful. — 6 days ago
