Buon Padre Barolo Nebbiolo 2018

2018 Vintage: shockingly approachable right out of the gate. The tannins were nicely integrated and there was a richness and “heft” to the palate that reminded me of Chambertin…but this is most certainly Barolo and not Burgundy — 6 days ago

At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Excellent small production white that has a biting texture softened by white fruits and complexity and long finish. — 2 months ago

Giovanni Chiappini

Guado de' Gemoli Bolgheri Superiore Super Tuscan Blend 2015

At first a blast of dark fruit, plum, blueberries, black currants and violet. Then a hint of green pepper then chocolate and wood. Super smooth integrated tannins, tiniest bit grippy at the end. Finish is loooong. Later as it opened some black tea also. Super. — 2 months ago

Marchesi Antinori

San Giovanni della Sala Orviéto Classico Superiore Grechetto Blend 2023

The wine is fresh and lively, with a balanced acidity and a silky texture. Notes of ripe pear, lemon peel, and a touch of almond linger on the finish. Best with seafood or hard cheese. — 2 months ago
