This Sunday evening after my work weekend; which was actually one 12 hr. Shift short; (Covid vaccine #2 kicked my behind! ⛑). I have opened this Napa Cabernet!. I am the only wine Connoisseur in the household so my collection is humble and am trying to desperately NOT open certain wines!
I have to remind myself that wine has its journey and sometimes it is just awesome to taste a wine where it is at in this moment!
Sure this might be better in five years, this wine is delicious and reasonably priced! Presents with mild Tannins, Bing Cherry, cedar big time, pencil lead, soft vanilla, mocha and subtle baking spices!
No regrets! Cheers to your work week! Vintage

Tonight the wine I have opened is the Moët & Chandon 150th Anniversary Imperial Brut Champagne. The blend is 30-40% Pinot Noir, 30-40% Pinot Munier and 20-30% Chardonnay.
On the nose there is buttery brioche, creme brulee, lemon curd, yeasty bread, hazelnut and apricot.
On the palate there is creamy lemon curd, tropical fruits, pineapple, brioche, hazelnut and a minerality.
This wine is medium bodied with medium + to high acidity that leads into a long toasty citrus finish. Today is the day we spring ahead and so we all lose an hour of our weekend. So what time we have left to the weekend try to enjoy yourselves and please be safe doing so. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 4 years ago
We opened the 2016 La Rioja Alta S.A. Viña Ardanza Reserva. This is a blend of 80% Tempranillo and 20% Garnacha from La Bastida, Spain.
On thr nose there was cherry, plum, strawberry, black currant, anise, leather, herbs, baking spice and forest floor.
On the palate was cherry, raspberry, strawberry, herbs, baking spice, balsamic and anise.
This wine is medium to full bodied with a silky mouthfeel medium+ acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that lead to a long red fruit forest floor finish. Welcome to another weekend and I hope everyone has great plans with wine in mind. Please enjoy the weekend and please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 6 months ago
Monday night and winter is tearing through our area. I have tonight opened the 2017 Domaine Drouhin Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.
On the nose I am getting aromas of cherry, raspberry, cranberry, mushroom, spice and earth.
On the palate there is tart cherey, raspberry, cranberry, sassafras, spice and forest floor.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel, medium + acidity and medium + sandy tannins which leaves a long red & dark fruit finish. Having had the Joseph Drouhin the other night and the Domaine Drouhin tonight the Joseph Drouhin was just more elegant over all. I hope everyone's Valentine weekend was good. Have a great week, stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
This is the 2019 Chateau Montrose La Dame de Montrose. Saint-Estèphe Gironde, France Bordeaux. The blend is 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc.
On the nose there is black cherry, blackberry, black plum, black currant, perfume rose petals, green bell pepper, spice, vanilla and earth.
On the palate is black cherry, blackberry, plum, black currant, herbaceous, green bell pepper, licorice, black pepper and a real dark earth edge.
This wine is beautifully full bodied with medium + to high but not overbearing acidity and medium + sinewy muscular firm tannins that nicely move into a long black fruit rich earthy finish. This can definitely be a top line Bordeaux. I hope everyone is well. This weekend looks to be a good one. Drink something special with someone special. Stay safe and healthy. Jordan Winery Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2016: Full body. Great structure & balance. Rich mouth feel. Dark fruits. Plum. Vanilla. Oak. Spice. Extremely smooth finish. One of the benchmark standards of a top California Cab from a legendary winery you can’t go wrong with! Have a great weekend. Cheers🍷 — 3 years ago
This was a great surprise at first tight and closed in but with an hour of air opened into classic Pauilliac beauty. Cigar box nose deep juicy currant flavors and endless finish. Fourty years old and an average vintage - WOW — 4 years ago

Decant and pour. They broke out the Giant glass.....black cherry, leather, tobacco, pepper, dried herbs, cedar, and tannic. Should round out over time. YUM! Super Tuscan tonight to start our Napa weekend...who woulda thunk. — 2 days ago
