This was a great surprise at first tight and closed in but with an hour of air opened into classic Pauilliac beauty. Cigar box nose deep juicy currant flavors and endless finish. Fourty years old and an average vintage - WOW

Slightly murky and older looking. More development on the nose , tobacco and dried fruit, coffee perhaps, quite herbaceous . More sweetness of fruit on the palate than expected and actually is more convincing . Ok length , not a great deal of complexity.. Still enjoyable to drink however.

This bottle is earthier than the last. Still good as it warms up.
